I was so scared. The alley I found myself in had only one way out, the same way I got in. There were strange noises coming from that very direction. Sound of heavy breathing hung in the air. It was me. I couldn't control my breath. I couldn't hear anything besides my breathing and my heart beat. A dark figure was walking toward me. I think it might be a woman. It was a homeless woman. She was dirty, smelly, and her clothes were all ripped up. She had no shoes on. She said "baby, what you doing in this alley"? I told her I made a wrong turn and a big mistake. She said "baby, don't worry this is my alley and no one will hurt you here". I said "bless you for that". She eyed my necklace. She said "I love your necklace". I told her that I make necklaces and had, in fact made this one. She said "baby, that there necklace just might get me a job". I told her it was her's if she could get me out of here.
I don't know if that necklace ever got her a job, but I slept good that night safe in my own bed.
**This is a copy of the necklace I had made. It has a beautiful Mookaite pendant. The beads are Fire Crab Agate. I love these beads because they look like they have tiger spots. I used faceted carnelian beads as spacers. The pendant is sterling silver and the sterling silver hook.
The necklace is about 19" and the pendant is about 2 1/4"
